WAYS TO SUPPORT USCB CHAMBER MUSIC

"The future depends on what we do in the present."

~Mahatma Gandhi

Be A Friend

Over 50% of the funding for USCB Chamber Music comes from the generosity of our Friends. It is this consistent annual support that enables us to continue bringing world-class concerts with world-renowned performers to the Lowcountry.

Below are the Friend levels. Friends at all levels will be invited to a post-concert reception with the evening's artists on April 4. Friends at the Patron and higher levels will be invited to a soiree with the November artists.

The Wadsworth-Armstrong Miss Flora Fund

Realizing the extra stress that lowcountry heat and humidity can cause humans and pianos, Jeff Herrin, Miss Flora's excellent tuner, recommended a Steinway technician visit. For two long days in October 2025, he attended to Miss Flora, and when Andy sat down to play, he pronounced her in the finest form since her arrival in Beaufort. To ensure her good health going forward, Stephen Hughes has established TW-AMFF, our first-ever naming gift, to hone our extraordinary Miss Flora, and to recognize their many significant contributions and honor our first and present Artistic Directors -- two brilliant pianists. Before leaving, the tech declared she is as fine a Steinway as any being played in America today. Now we can be confident she will remain so.

As we celebrate Miss Flora's 40th, click the button below to give to The Wadsworth-Armstrong Miss Flora Fund and help keep her well tuned and happy.

USCB Chamber Music Endowment

Initiated in 2017 and made possible by the consistent generosity of the Friends of Chamber Music, a significant initial donation from John and Anita Mahoney, a matching donation from Nancy and Howell Beach, and generous donations from the Founding Members of the Endowment Legacy Society and others, this Endowment ensures that the music of the world's finest classical composers will continue to be played by some of the world's finest musicians for our community. In 2020, Emily Hart gave us our largest endowment gift to-date in memory of founding board member William Lortz.

The USC Educational Foundation in Columbia provides professional expertise for investing and administering the Endowment.  For questions or to let us know about an endowment gift, please call Staci Breton at 843-208-8246.
