Road to Independence
June 6, 2026 | USCB Center for the Arts
On Saturday, June 6, USCB Chamber Music hosted an SRO audience to celebrate America’s founding with lectures by Beaufort’s exceptional historians-Lawrence Rowland and John McCardell-and with music by our favorite visiting pianists-Jeewon Park and Andrew Armstrong-and our brilliant resident Diva-Miss Flora. Larry and John traced the causes of the Revolution and South Carolina’s role in its success; everyone enjoyed a bit of birthday cake and lemonade, and then Miss Flora, Jeewon, and Andy brought it on with all four hands and All-American composers-Barber, Gershwin, and Sousa. There were few dry eyes in the hall as we hummed through the second stanza of “America the Beautiful” to close a grand and memorable occasion. The Childs Family
Youth Concert
Saturday, March 6 | 3 pm
Thanks to the very generous support of the Childs Family, we are excited to welcome a slightly younger audience for our fourth Youth Concert, where children are FREE, and adult tickets are $25. Andy welcomes Sooyun Kim, Yoonah Kim, Elizabeth Tiscione, David Byrd-Marrow, and Anthony Georgeson; Miss F welcomes their five lively wind instruments-flute, clarinet, oboe, French horn, and bassoon. It should prove a glorious hour of music, chatter, and action, concluding with an instrument petting zoo in the lobby.
